Discipline in Blogging

discipline

Blogging requires a bit of discipline.

What?

Yes, you read that right. It takes discipline. Think about it this way. It’s like running your own newspaper or magazine. Unless you are mainly blogging so that you could have a way to let out your emotions. As if blogging is writing a personal journal. But not everyone does that.

There are people who like blogging about things they learn or trends they follow, like maybe new games. If you are one of these people and you happen to not have the discipline to set aside time for it, you have to make sure that somehow, you regularly do it.

Regular time
Some people set a regular time for blogging. It could be in the middle of the day. It could be in the wee hours of the morning. Different people have different writing quirks.

Immediate posting
One of the things that sometimes people forget to do is commit certain things to memory. If you immediately post about something, even a brief comment then just say something like ‘I will blog more about this later, when I have the time’ then that is alright too. At least you have something on your blog that tells you that ‘Hey! Look! You have to remind yourself about this thing you want to blog about.’

Stop making excuses
Sometimes people make too many excuses. Well, if you put up a blog, then go update it! It’s not just there to take up webspace ;)

Feel like you still need to get into shape when it comes to blogging? Wait for more entries about it!
