How Is Your Blog Template?

Posted by Jimmy as Blog Tutorial, Design and Themes, Templates

When you first set your blog up, how much thought did you put on your blog template? If it was your first time blogging, you might have spent some time trying to decide on which template to use. You probably started with a free blogging template and realized early on that the template choices were limited. Then again, you didn’t really have much of a choice, did you?

So now that your blog is up and running and you have built up your readership a bit, have you been having thoughts on how to improve your blog template? I know the feeling as I went through this phase myself. But how do you go about changing your blog template if you do decide to change?

One option would be to browse the web for free blog templates. If you have not tried this yet, you’d be surprised at the amount of free templates out there. You have to note the blogging platform that you use as the templates depend on that. If you find a template for Wordpress and you are using Blogger, maybe you can search for a different version. There are people who create free templates for both platforms.

Another option would be to hire someone to do all the work for you. This is especially true if you already have a design in mind. If you know what it is that you want and you really want to put your stamp in the work, then it is better to find a person who can custom create the template.

Either way, be ready to do some work when changing your template AND remember to keep a back up of the old one in case you need to revert to it.
