Niche Blogging: Make Money Blogging?

We’ve been looking at ways to make money off your blog for a while now. We have been focusing on paid post programs, however. There is another option for you if you want to create a blog can make you money. Have you ever heard of a niche blog?

Wikipedia describes niche blogging as:

Niche blogging is the act of creating a blog with the intent of using it to market to a particular niche market. While it could be argued that all blogs are, in some form, a niche blog, the term as it applies to marketing refers to a particular kind of blog.

Niche blogs are sometimes referred to as splogs, but this is a misnomer. Even though the desired end result for the niche blogger is to make money, the niche blog itself often contains valuable information. Most pay-per-click advertising is content-sensitive, so it is vital to the niche blogger to have useful content that is related to the chosen niche.

A very specific aspect of niche blog is that it has a tight focus. A niche blogger chooses a specific topic to focus his niche blog on and keeps to that topic all throughout the blog. As you can imagine, there are so many topics that you can choose from. It is vital, however, that you choose the right topic for your own niche blog. There are many considerations in doing so.
