The 10 Blogging Commandments

Are you a religious person? Or let’s say you follow a certain faith. Don’t worry if you are averse to the idea – this post is not really all about religion and what you believe in. I just thought that it would be interesting to feature the 10 Blogging Commandments according to Evangelical Alliance. (Comments mine.)

1. You shall not put your blog before your integrity. – Something that some bloggers out there should pay attention to, I think!
2. You shall not make an idol of your blog. – ahh, I think that if you reach this point, there must be something wrong with you!
3. You shall not misuse your screen name by using your anonymity to sin. – How is sin defined?
4. Remember the Sabbath day by taking one day off a week from your blog. – Guilty…
5. Honour your fellow-bloggers above yourselves and do not give undue significance to their mistakes.
6. You shall not murder someone else’s honour, reputation or feelings. – what about satirical blogs?
7. You shall not use the web to commit or permit adultery in your mind.
8. You shall not steal another person’s content. – DEFINITELY a must!
9. You shall not give false testimony against your fellow-blogger.
10. You shall not covet your neighbour’s blog ranking. Be content with your own content. – Ha ha…PR does not mean much anyway, right?

So how many of the commandments have you broken? Based on my comments above, you probably have a good idea of which ones I am guilty of.
