Going crazy over blogs and blogging

If you are someone who loves reading and writing blogs, have you ever thought of consciously sharing that passion with others? Sometimes people get overwhelmed with the number of blogs out there but here’s the thing: you have the ability to participate in a global community and share so many things. Blogging goes beyond geographic boundaries and that is something interesting to note.

So if you are someone who hasn’t really been vocal or open about your blogging habits, here are some ways that you could be more blatant about it 😉 Who knows? You might get your friends to join you on the blogosphere. Some of them might have the knack for writing about certain niche topics and they might be even awesome probloggers!

Talk about blogging and blogs online and offline.
There is always instant messaging, email and your blog, of course. Sometimes you get to talk with other people over a cup of coffee. Blogging doesn’t have to be the topic per se. But you could mention things you’ve learned through blogs. That should get them interested 😉 What I simply mean to say is that don’t hesitate to talk about it.

Don’t be too freaky about blogging.
Hmmm. On the extreme end of the spectrum, you have people who are too enthusiastic and freak out the rest of the crowd. Just be natural. No need to boost up whatever level of enthusiasm you have. Or maybe you might come across as someone who forces people to like blogs and blogging.

Introduce people to blogging in ways they could relate.
We all have different preferences and priorities. It would be easier for you to spread the blogging love if you could see how they would be able to enrich their lives through blogs and blogging. Some of your friends may think they are not geeky so they might not be able to relate with bloggers or the tools of blogging. You could show them the different uses of blogs: as journals, as records of news articles (like of particular journalists maybe?) and so on.
