How are you when it comes to productive writing? Do you find yourself spending an hour or two on a simple and short article? Do you find yourself always lagging behind on your writing schedule? Don’t worry if you do – everyone experiences these things every now and then. However, you do not have to always fall into this rut. You can be more productive when it comes to your writing. Take a look at these tips and see how they can help you become a more productive writer. Try separating writing from research More often than not, when I take too long to produce an entry for my blog, I realize that I spend the bulk of the time on research. What happens is that I do not have a clear idea of what I want to write. Or, I might have a vague idea – I might even have a title – but I do not have all the pertinent information that I need. I then spend a long time doing research – either online or by reading books. I read and then I read more and then I read some more. The result is less productive writing time. So remember this, try being more organized and keeping a list of possible topics (I posted something on this before) and then do your research at a separate time. This will make your writing time totally dedicated to actually getting the words on paper (or the screen for that matter). (to be continued)
